The seasons have changed and I'm back to being busy again. Whatever was happening in my last entry didn't stay for long. I'm mostly back to the way I was beforehand, but that's not a necessarily bad thing.
My day-to-day life has found me surrounded by friends. Maybe people are more willing to do things because it's our last year together, maybe I'm doing something different, or maybe it's the people I'm talking to, but so far I've been having fun with my friends outside of school, which has been nice. I went to my first football game, and it was really fun. I started making sense of the game and actually got a bit invested, even if my team isn't good. There was also the dance. My friends and I went to the park and a chinese resturaunt beforehand. I'm also going with a few people to the pumpkin festival this year.
Today marks the one year anniversary of a weekend that didn't mean much in the grand scheme of things but is still remembered fondly by me. I oficially became an Epic the Musical fan, which might not mean much to you but signifies something to me. I revisited a town that I haven't been to since 2022. It was beautiful, surrounded by nature. The main street was full of small stores, but it felt different from my town's main street. It had a bookstore and a small grocery store. I wished I could call it home. It felt so inviting for someone like me living in the state I live in. I had Bulldog Eyes stuck in my head, and it felt so fitting. We went to a burger place that was really good. We also went to the pumpkin festival that's in town. I won an inflatable alien even though I wasn't strong enough to win it. It was nice of the guy to pretend I did. There was also the family farm that we went to. I didn't know it but I think that weekend was the beginning of my life changing for the better. I wouldn't say it was the inciting incident, as this is a bit before I started changing, but I do think it means something that I remember it so fondly compared to the months prior.
I'm going to celebrate by going to the pumpkin festival, eating funnel cake, and listening to Bulldog Eyes (Who has a new EP out, go listen to it btw).
So last night I went to the pumpkin festival for the third time. First I went with my friend, then my mom, and then a group of my friends. I won't get into the details because it's nothing too interesting, but it was fun being around others. Things have changed so much since last year, but maybe I'll write more about that in december ;)
cough cough if I feel like writing in december. which I might since I'll have some time off then.
